Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney of Dan + Shay stopped by The Not-Too-Late Show With Elmo on June 25 to perform “I Don’t Want to Live on the Moon.”

The Sesame Street spinoff launched in May on HBO Max with 13 weekly episodes that air on Thursday with host Elmo as the furry red Muppet highlights a different part of a child’s bedtime routine. The show also features guests like Lil Nas X, Dan + Shay, H.E.R. and the Jonas Brothers singing classic Sesame Street songs.

Penned by Jeff Moss, “I Don’t Want to Live on the Moon” was originally performed by Ernie (voiced by Jim Henson) for the 1980 album, The People in Your Neighborhood.
