Locash Once Headlined a Gig During a Pure Romance Convention: “That Was a Crazy, Crazy Show”

Chris Lucas and Preston Brust of Locash have played their fair share of unique shows over the last 15 years, including the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, the National Christmas Tree Lighting in Washington, D.C., the infield at Talladega Superspeedway and more.

But nothing compares to the duo’s wildest concert: a headlining gig during a Pure Romance convention—yes, the company that sells adult bedroom accessories.

Chris and Preston told Kix Brooks of American Country Countdown that they have Pure Romance to thank for the “craziest” show of their career.

“This company called Pure Romance hired us one time,” says Preston. “So we walk out onstage and there’s about 5,000 women who, you know, independently sell products for Pure Romance. And, they all have toys in their bags and things, you know, they’ve been at the conference all day. So, we’re the headlining thing at the nighttime and we hit the stage, and everybody’s wound up. Everybody’s drinking, and the next thing you know, here come the toys in air. Dude it was crazy.”

“Oh, and throwing them onstage,” says Chris. “We couldn’t stop laughing. That was a crazy, crazy show.”

Locash has another Top 20 hit on their hands this week with “One Big Country Song.” The tune is currently No. 17 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart after 50 weeks.
