The male involved in the officer involved shooting on Sunday, has been identified as Sidney Holst, a Caldwell resident.

An autopsy was conducted Tuesday and his identity was confirmed. The family has been notified.

The autopsy determined that Holst died due to a single gunshot wound.

The incident is currently under investigation by the Critical Incident Task Force, with Nampa Police as lead.
