Two people were arrested in Boise after a monthslong investigation and charged with drug trafficking and possession.
The Boise Police Department says Sharma Anderson of Boise and Lindsay Marks of Happy Valley, Oregon, were arrested and booked into the Ada County jail on charges of trafficking in heroin, possession of a controlled substance and possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia.
The Idaho Press reports, the heroin was destined for sale in Boise and surrounding communities, had a wholesale value of $50,000 and an estimated street value of $200,000.
Police intervened as the women were allegedly delivering 20 ounces of heroin in downtown Boise. The arrests are the result of a collaborative investigation, which in May began looking into a multistate heroin trafficking organization.
