E-scooters hit the ground in Meridian on August 1st

On Aug. 1st, Meridian residents can expect to see 150 Birds E-scooters on the ground.

The City of Meridian held a Town Hall Wednesday afternoon. The Town Hall focused on the first draft of Meridian’s comprehensive plan of the scooters.

The meeting gave people a chance to learn more about the Comprehensive Plan process, provide feedback on the recently released draft Plan, and ask questions of the planning staff.

CBS 2 news reports, following the Comprehensive Plan presentation, Bird, the City’s chosen electronic scooter vendor helped those there understand the purpose of electronic scooters, as well as educate them on safe riding.

On Saturday at Settlers Park from 11a.m. to 2 p.m. there will be a chance to try out the scooters, as questions, and even get a helmet.
