We now know more about the big accident on I-84 on Friday afternoon.
Five drivers were hospitalized after a semi pulling a car hauler failed to slow for traffic, causing a chain reaction crash with 10 other vehicles, on Interstate 84, west of Caldwell.
Idaho State Police’s investigation stated that the semi first collided with another semi carrying a empty flatbed trailer. That semi then jack-knifed and caused the chain reaction crash.
CBS 2 News reports, the eastbound lanes of I-84 were blocked for about 7 hours.
Four drivers were transported to hospitals by ground ambulance, while the driver of the second semi had to be transported to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise by air ambulance.
That driver wasn’t wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
