Boise River flows are slowing down again this week, paving the way for float season to open.
The Army Corps of Engineers announced, the river will reach 1,550 cubic feet per second by Friday. The decrease is a result of lessened inflows to reservoirs.
The Idaho Press reports, while floating season has not opened yet, 1,500 cfs and trending downward is a manageable level for recreational floating.
Flows through town are currently at 3,350 cfs, but today, (Wednesday) flows will decrease by 600 cfs, putting the river levels at 2,750 cfs. Flows will again decrease by 600 both Thursday and Friday, putting the river at 1,550 cfs Friday morning.
