Missing woman’s body recovered in Snake River

 

The Idaho County Sheriff’s Office reports the body of missing Idaho woman, Shawnta Pankey has been found in the Snake River.

The Nez Perce County Coroner confirms the remains were found near Buffalo Eddy.

The sheriff’s office reports she had been missing since April 15, 2018 under what the sheriff’s office calls “suspicious circumstances.”

Shawnta and her boyfriend had been camping along the Snake River near Grangeville, when he said they had a fight and she walked off and disappeared.

The Idaho Press reports, the family has been searching for her, hired a private investigator and offered a $12,000 reward for information on her case.
