Classes cancelled at Twin Falls High School due to threat

Classes are canceled today (Friday) at Twin Falls High School due to a social media threat.

Twin Falls School District spokeswoman confirmed the cancellation this morning.

The Times-News reports, a “hall check” — the equivalent of a soft lockdown where activity inside a school continues as usual, but doors are locked — was just lifted at Sawtooth Elementary School in Twin Falls… (not to be confused with Sawtooth in Meridian).

The check was a precaution due to Sawtooth’s close proximity to Twin Falls High.

As of 9 a.m., no arrests have been made related to the threat. The district will release a statement with more information later today.

All after-school events Friday will proceed as usual, Twin Falls High wrote on its website.
