Health and Welfare Customers’ Data Hacked

Boise (670 KBOI News) – More than 2,000 clients of the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare may have had their personal information accessed when a contractor’s email account was hacked.

Spokeswoman Nikki Forbing-Orr says the breach happened between October and December of last year, and was for customers of the Infant Toddler and Mental Health Programs, who used services between October 2016 and September 2017.

“There’s no evidence that personal information, or financial account information, was able to be accessed,” said Forbing-Orr.  “But notices have been sent this week, in the mail, to those clients who might have been affected, so they can take action to protect their information.”

That information includes full names, Social Security numbers, treatment codes, and other non-financial data.

If you want more information, you can contact the contractor, OS Inc, by calling (866) 775-4209, or you can snail mail them at W237 N2920 Woodgate Rd, Suite 100, Milwaukee WI 53072.
