Washington DC (670 KBOI News) – Two former Idaho congressmen — Larry LaRocco and Walt Minnick, both 1st District Democrats — are signing on to the effort in Congress to urge a California court to block President Trump’s border security plan.

In a statement, LaRocco said the emergency on the Mexican border that Trump speaks of is “fabricated”, but current 1st District Congressman Russ Fulcher says LaRocco knows better.

“Anyone that would suggest this is fabricated…it’s just being disrespectful to the taxpayers, who are paying to house, to give medical care to, and take care of the tremendous number of applicants, and the list goes on ” said Fulcher.   “Not to mention the families and the citizens living with the fallout of illegal drugs coming through that porous Southern border.”

Fulcher says this year, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is set to capture 1,000,000 illegal aliens…that’s as many who are expected to immigrate legally.
