Father and Son arrested in gang related kidnapping investigation

A father and son are in jail after allegedly going into a Boise man’s home, threatening him with a knife and ordered him to join their gang.

Boise Police says officers were called out to a home on the 6000 block of W. Colehaven Drive over the weekend.

A man inside the home appeared to be injured. After investigating, a father and son, Frank Samuel Martinez and Frank Lopez Martinez told the victim that if he didn’t give them money and do everything they asked, they were going to hurt him.

CBS 2 News reports, the men hit the victim numerous times and wouldn’t let him leave for several hours. The two have been charged with kidnapping, robbery and aggravated assault.

Bond was set at $500,000. Both men are scheduled to appear in court again May 16.
