Flows on the Boise River will continue to increase throughout the week, according to the Army Corps of Engineers.
Beginning today (Tuesday), flows will increase 500 cubic feet per second through Friday until the river reaches 5,450 cfs. The river is currently flowing around 3,450 cfs at the Glenwood Bridge gauge.
The increase in flows is a direct response to above average precipitation for April.
The Idaho Press reports, water officials advise staying away from river banks, as they are softer given the increased flows, and the water is extremely cold.
