Idaho National Guard Recruiter Arrested, Charged with Lewd Conduct with Minor

Boise (670 KBOI News) – An Idaho Army National Guard recruiter is facing up to life in prison after his arrest on suspicion of lewd conduct with a minor under 16 years of age.

According to the Idaho Press, Sergeant First Class Keith Maxwell was arrested early Saturday morning, after Ada County deputies searched a home near Lake Hazel and Five Mile Roads.

The investigation is ongoing, but the Idaho Military Division removed Maxwell from his recruiting position Sunday. A spokesman said recruiters are in a position where trust is vital, and therefore Maxwell would no longer be a recruiter.

The Idaho Guard will cooperate with the investigation, the spokesman said.
