Arrest made in case of body found burned and buried in Custer County

Custer County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man Saturday afternoon in connection with a body found burned and buried in a remote part of the county.

Benjamin Savage was taken into custody at the Idaho Falls airport on a Custer County warrant.

CBS 2 News reports, Savage is suspected as being connected to the burning and burial of a missing Idaho man, Charles McBride, who was found almost a week ago.

The Custer County Sheriff’s Office says McBride was last seen Feb. 25 leaving for work. Deputies say during the missing person investigation, they received information that led them to finding a body in the Morgan Creek Drainage area.

Savage is still being held.

The investigation is ongoing .
