Boise man arrested on suspicion of domestic violence for second time in a year

Gary Hagwood

A Boise man is back in jail on suspicion of domestic violence for the second time in a year against the same woman, although he pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace in an earlier case.

Boise police responded to a call Tuesday morning. They found Gary Hagwood, as well as evidence he “had battered a victim and attempted to strangle her.

The Idaho Press reports, Prosecutors believe he punched the woman. Police also believe he’d sent a nude photograph of her to another man. He was booked into the Ada County Jail on suspicion of attempted strangulation and video voyeurism — both felonies — and misdemeanor battery.

His last arrest came in June of 2018 morning, when Boise police say Hagwood had hit the same woman, whom he was dating, hard enough to draw blood.

He was still on supervised probation at the time of his arrest this week. He remains in the Ada County Jail.
