One person killed in crash on I-84 Tuesday afternoon

One person is dead and four are in the hospital from a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 84 in Nampa.

On Tuesday afternoon, police responded to the crash on eastbound I-84 at milepost 36, near the Franklin Road exit.

The Idaho Press explains, an eastbound pickup veered toward the median and collided with a SUV parked on the shoulder.

Several people were injursed and taken to local hospitals. However, the driver of the pickup died at the scene. Police are not yet releasing the driver’s name.

The left lane of travel was blocked for roughly two hours during the investigation.
