Woman Shot to Death in Meridian Home, Husband Arrested

Meridian (670 KBOI News) – An autopsy is scheduled for today for a Meridian woman, found shot to death in her home Tuesday.

The police got a call about 9:15 Tuesday night from a man who said he’d just killed his wife. Officers got to the house on East Chateau Drive, and found the woman dead.

They arrested Eric Steiner without incident, and booked him into the Ada County Jail on a first degree murder charge.

Two kids were in the house at the time, but they were not physically injured.

It’s the third fatal shooting in Meridian in 2019.

No identity has been released yet on the victim, but a Meridian Police press release says they’ll identify her after the autopsy is finished.
