Mountain Home Murder Trial Gets Underway

Mountain Home (670 KBOI News) – The trial of a man accused of murdering a 71-year old Mountain Home woman is underway.

The Idaho Statesman is reporting jury selection in the trial of Scott Riggs began Tuesday. He’s accused of stabbing Paula Ferbrache several times in August of 2017, then stuffing her body in the trunk of her car.

The car was found the next day, abandoned, off US-30.

Riggs reportedly rented a home from Ferbrache, and they worked together at the Wal-Mart in Mountain Home.

The trial is scheduled to take 4-6 weeks…Riggs could get life in prison if convicted.
