Boise (670 KBOI News) – It’s more proof that Boise is not, as some have suggested, like Mayberry with Wi-Fi.
Boise Police are cautioning you to be careful about leaving things like wallets, purses and other valuables in your car, after yet another duo of out-of-town burglars were busted, says Sergeant Nick Duggan.
“Mostly outside gyms and daycare centers, when people would go inside the gym or the daycare, most of them being female, would leave their purses inside the vehicle,” said Duggan. “So when the opportunity presented itself, they would either check for an unlocked door, or they would actually break out the window, reach in, grab take the purse, then take off.”
Duggan says their best advice is to lock your doors and windows, hide your valuables, or better yet, take your purse or wallet with you.
The suspects in the latest rash of car burglaries are Ahmad Ware of Lauderhill, Florida and Seth Stewart of Atlanta, Georgia.
Duggan says they specifically targeted the Treasure Valley, flying into the Boise Airport and renting a car.
