Man arrested after high speed chase through Meridian

A Boise man is accused of leading police on a high-speed chase through Meridian in a stolen vehicle.

Meridian Police says officers tried to pull over Brandon Meredith after a red light violation at Locust Grove and Franklin early Monday morning.

CBS 2 News reports, the suspect drove west on Franklin and hit speeds of 85 miles per hour at one point during the chase.

The pursuit lasted three miles before his vehicle, stolen out of Nampa, became disabled after it struck a raised curb. It ended near Franklin and Black Cat.

He’s been charges with felony eluding, grand theft and possession of a controlled substance and four misdemeanors.
