Boise State offers free tickets to furloughed workers due to government shutdown

The Boise State University’s Athletics department is offering free tickets to two upcoming men’s and women’s home basketball games to federal workers who have been furloughed due to the government shutdown.

Director of Athletics Curt Apsey says each furloughed worker can get two tickets to the men’s game against Wyoming on Saturday at 2 p.m. and two tickets to the women’s game against Colorado State next Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Apsey says there will also be food vouchers available for both games, as well as free parking passes for the men’s game this Saturday.

According to a press release, BSU says that workers need to bring their federal identification to the Athletic Ticket Office to pick up their tickets.

Apsey recommends picking up the tickets ahead of time to ensure access to free parking.
