Oregon man dies in I-84 crash near Caldwell

A Oregon man died Monday in a crash on I-84 near Caldwell.

Police identified the man as Michael Kreider from Vale, Ore.

Police say Kreider swerved to avoid traffic ahead that was slowed from a previous crash and lost control. He crossed into the left lane of travel and collided with a semi-truck and trailer.

CBS 2 News explains, Kreider succumbed to his injuries on scene.

Interstate-84 westbound was blocked after the crash which occurred at 12:44 p.m. about three miles west of Caldwell.

Nobody else was injured in the crash.
