Boise (670 KBOI News) – Idaho’s new governor says our strength is our people, and our shared values of hard work, perseverance, and commitment to family.
Brad Little was sworn in today shortly after noon.
He made no policy announcements in his inaugural remarks, instead thanking past governors and the pioneers who settled the state.
He promised not to squander the trust the people of Idaho have put in him.
“The most sacred duty of elected officials is to uphold the trust the citizens have granted us. As your governor, I will work to champion confidence in government,” Little said. “When I took the oath of office, I swore to faithfully discharge my duties, to work for all Idahoans. With God’s help, I will.”
Little becomes the state’s 33rd governor, after serving as Lieutenant Governor since 2009.
