I-84/Cloverdale Bridge Project Beginning, Freeway Closed Monday and Tuesday Nights

Boise (670 KBOI News) – Starting Monday, repairs will begin on the bridge at I-84 and Cloverdale, which was damaged in that deadly crash last summer.

Jake Melder with ITD says it’s a joint project with the Ada County Highway District…ITD is responsible for the bridge itself, and ACHD will improve Cloverdale.

There will be some overnight closures involved.

“We are doing this at the lowest-volume times, the detours and closures of the interstate are going to be restricted to overnight hours,” said Melder.  “Generally, those hours are going to fall from 10 pm to 5 am.”

Melder says the project should be completed by mid-June, but there shouldn’t be more than a total of six nights of I-84 closures, starting with this Monday and Tuesday.

Traffic will be rerouted onto Franklin or Overland, but thanks to the evening hours, commuters shouldn’t be affected.
