BPD: One Shooting Suspect Under Arrest, The Other Still Missing

Boise (670 KBOI News) – Boise Police say one of the suspects in the shooting Thursday morning on the Bench had a history of conflicts with the other person involved.

Victor Nava turned himself in Thursday afternoon, and was charged with felony aggravated battery and felony Intimidation of a State Witness.

According to the BPD, Nava was arrested last Friday for battery against the same victim. They think he was looking to retaliate against the victim.

In a press release, the BPD says Nava and two other suspects walked up to the victim Thursday as he was in a car, and began to punch and kick him. He then allegedly pulled a gun and shot at the victim, but hit an unnamed juvenile suspect instead. Nava fired again, this time hitting the adult suspect.

The juvenile was taken to a hospital, Nava and the adult suspect disappeared. None of the injuries are thought to be life-threatening.
