Marsy’s Law for Idaho Staffing Up for Another Legislative Push

Boise (670 KBOI News) – After falling five votes short of passage last legislative session, Marsy’s Law for Idaho is ramping up for another push in January.

Spokesman Todd Dvorak says they’re trying to get a Constitutional amendment passed to give crime victims rights equal to those who victimized them.

“Giving victims a stronger voice, in terms of communicating with prosecutors during a case, it would add some protections, some notification, in instances when an offender escapes or absconds from probation or parole,” said Dvorak.

Dvorak says they’ve brought on two new team members to help them get Marsy’s Law passed…Sara Westbrook has been named the group’s State Director, and Pamela Cathey is the new Advocacy and Outreach Director.
