Canyon County Needs Poll Workers for Election Day

Caldwell (670 KBOI News) – Election Day 2018 is drawing close, and Canyon County needs people to work the polls on November 6th.

County spokesman Joe Decker says they’re looking for civic minded people to help voters get their ballots filled out properly, and submitted…

“I think for this election, we’re going to have close to 500 poll workers altogether,” said Decker.  “We average about 6-10 per poling location, and when all our precincts are open, and all our polling locations are open, we have 55 on Election Day in Canyon County.”

The hours will be from 7am ’til 8 pm or so…worker swill be paid $149. Decker says they prefer if the workers can work all four election days each year…in March, May, August and November.

The requirements are that you be 17 years old, a resident of Canyon County for at least 30 days, and if you’re over 18, that you be registered to vote.
