Race Organizer Goes Out of Business, Says No Refunds

Boise (670 KBOI News) – Are you a runner? If you like to run in 10Ks or half marathons, you might want to listen up.

CBS-2 TV is reporting race organizer Final Kick is going out of business, and will not be giving any refunds, or even medals earned in races that have already been run.

Wayne Ebenroth, owner of Final Kick, says he’s $60,000 dollars in debt, and the company has $74 in the bank.

In a blog post, which you can see by clicking here, Ebenroth jokes that he will have to sell blood and hair to make the next house payment.

An upcoming half marathon, the Idaho Wine Run, which was to have happened on September 8th, will not. The website refers people to Ebenroth’s blog post.

He didn’t say why he was going out of business in the post, but said he’d address that in a longer post to come.

Final Kick was in business for 8 years.
