Meridian (670 KBOI News) – A cornfield that’s near and dear to people who love Halloween will soon be an office complex.

The Idaho Statesman is reporting the field, off I-84 and Eagle Road, which is home to the Farmstead Corn Maze, has been sold to Idaho Central Credit Union.

Plans are to develop it as office and call center space.

The owners of Farmland says the 51-acre plot has been on the market for years, and they plan on continuing the corn maze as long as possible.

After development begins, they plan to move the maze to another location in Meridian.
