Boise (670 KBOI News) – Summer is a tough time for the blood supply, with colleges and high schools out for the summer, but more people getting into car crashes and accidents on vacation.
So Matt Ochsner with the Red Cross of Montana and Idaho says they’re launching their “Missing Types” campaign to remind people of the need to donate blood types A, B, and O.
“We’re asking businesses, national partners, celebrities and whatnot, to remove the As, Bs, and Os from their social media, from their signs, from their logos,” said Ochsner. “Because those aren’t just letters, they’re also the major blood types that we need.”
He says they also have their very own #Missing Type campaign going, and are encouraging those on social media to use it.
