Chipsealing Begins in Nampa

Nampa (670 KBOI News) – Chipsealing is underway in southeast Nampa, and the supervisor of the Street Division says they’d appreciate your patience and courtesy for the next 10 days.

Don Barr says along with chipsealing often comes chipped windshields, and unfortunately, if that happens to you, there’s not much the city can do about it.

“Chipsealing, from an insurance perspective, is considered a road hazard,” said Barr.  “Road hazards typically aren’t covered by your insurance.  So, in other words, if you file a claim against the City, more than likely, that won’t be paid.”

So your best option might be to avoid the area entirely, and find alternate routes.

Barr says work will take place Monday through Thursday, starting at 7:00 am.
