Nampa (670 KBOI News) – Canyon County Sheriff Kieran Donahue says a domestic situation deteriorated into a deadly knife attack, and then ended with an officer-involved shooting.
Donahue said the incident this morning on Edgebrook Drive began as a stabbing attack by the unnamed suspect on three adult females in the home. The investigation is ongoing, so Donahue said he was limited as to what details he could give.
“The officers responded, and made entry into the residence.” said Donahue. “The officers did make contact inside the home, with the suspect, and the suspect was armed. We are not releasing the information on the weapon at this time.”
The suspect was killed after he was shot by one or both of the officers, and one of the women died from her wounds. The other two are said to have serious injuries, but they’re expected to recover.
Three young kids were in the home at the time.
Donahue says there will be a crime scene at the house at least until tomorrow morning, so avoid the area if you don’t need to be there.
