Boise (670 KBOI News) – We’ve told you about how Boise’s Rhodes Skate Park has been chosen by the X Games to be the site of its BMX and skateboard prelims this June? Well, Century Link Arena is getting in on the act, too.
General Manager Eric Trapp says it’s gonna get loud in there on June 15th.
“In conjunction with the skateboarding, and BMX, and stuff like that over at Rhodes Park, they decided to add this Harley Hooligan racing, ad they were looking for a spot,” said Trapp. “The City of Boise, people like Doug Holloway and Dee Oldham, told them about CenturyLink Arena.”
Harley Hooligan racing is a form of flat-track motorcycle racing in which the bike shave no brakes…yes, you heard right…no brakes.
Trapp says the bikes slide their way around corners, then gun it on the straightaways…all the ice will be gone by then, so they’ll do it on the concrete!
60 riders from across he country will be invited to race…click here for more information.
