Car Stolen in Moscow Crashes in Garden City, Suspects Lands in Ada Co. Jail

Boise (670 KBOI News) – A Boise man is in the Ada County Jail, after he apparently crashed a car, which was stolen in Moscow, on Chinden Boulevard in Garden City.

Ryan Larrondo with the Boise PD says about 2:30 Wednesday morning, officers spotted a car they believed was stolen on Fairview, and called it in. They followed it to Garden City, and the call came back — sure enough, the car had been stolen.

They tried to make a traffic stop, but the driver took off…the officers didn’t chase.

“It was reported by Garden City Police that they had seen it driving westbound on Chinden, high rate of speed, into oncoming traffic,” said Larrondo.  “The driver, Colby Sage, ended up losing control of the vehicle, and crashed later; about near 44th Street and Chinden.”

Garden City Police found the vehicle crashed, on its side, and smoking.  Sage was checked out by medics, then booked into the Ada County Jail, on felony grad theft and eluding charges.
