Nampa (670 KBOI) – There’s a new place in the Treasure Valley to file your passport application.
Joe Decker with Canyon County says business has picked up so much in the last three years that the County Recorder’s office was getting over run…so they opened up ano0ther passport office at the Nampa City Clerk’s office.
And you’re invited to file you application there, no matter where you live…
“It doesn’t make a difference at all which county you apply in, there’s a lot of requirements of what you need to have,” said Decker. “You have to have a birth certificate, proof of identification, you have to get your passport photos, but it doesn’t matter if you’re from Ada County, Canyon County, or Boundary County.”
Decker says even if you don’t plan to travel overseas any time soon, thanks to the REAL ID law, by 20-20 you’ll need to either get a “star” card drivers license, or a passport to fly domestically.
