Cemetery Theft Suspect Arrested

Boise (670 KBOI) – Boise Police are crediting the Treasure Valley media and you, the listeners, for helping them find a cemetery theft suspect.

Canyon County Deputies found and arrested Aspen Curtis in Nampa Wednesday, and booked him into the Canyon County Jail. He’s charged with Burglary, Grand Theft and Desecrating a Grave…he’s suspected of stealing over 200 brass and bronze vases and name plates from graves in Ada and Canyon Counties.

Boise Police will forward their case information to the Ada County Prosecutor’s Office, to prepare for filing charges against Curtis there.

The BPD says they appreciate the tips they got from the public, which were instrumental in locating and arresting Curtis.
