Oregon’s Royce Freeman won’t play in Las Vegas Bowl

Some good news for Boise State, but maybe not so good news for people watching or listening to the Las Vegas Bowl tomorrow.

Oregon Ducks running back Royce Freeman won’t play in the game against Boise State on Saturday.

Freeman’s decision to sit out the game is to avoid injury as he prepares for the NFL draft.

Freeman has rushed for 5,621 yards in his career and is the Ducks’ all-time leading rusher. He also is the Oregon career record holder for rushing touchdowns, total touchdowns.

This season, he led Oregon with 1,475 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns.
