Starting today additional officers across Idaho will be on the lookout for drunk drivers.
They will be on the focused on drunk driving violations through the end of the year.
KBOI-2-TV reports, the Idaho Transportation Department and law enforcement across the state are partnering together to remind drivers that buzzed driving is drunk driving.
10,497 people were killed in alcohol-related crashes in 2016 according to the National Highway Safety Administration.
The holiday season is a time when many people are on the roads and celebrating and the Idaho Office of Highway Safety says that it’s important for people to have a sober ride home during these times.
