Lexus Williams was the hero yet again Wednesday night in knocking down a game-tying 3-pointer with three seconds remaining in regulation to send the game into overtime, where the Broncos defeated Grand Canyon in the second overtime period, 85-80.
Wednesday’s game was the first double overtime game for the Broncos since falling at Colorado State last season.
The win gives Boise State a 10-1 record on the season – tying for its best 11-game start in school history. The only other time the Broncos started a season 10-1 was 1987-88. That team went 16-1 before picking up its second loss.
Boise State completed it’s fourth-straight season with an undefeated non-conference home record at Taco Bell Arena (7-0).
Boise State will wrap up its non-conference slate at SMU, on Monday.
