Nampa man arrested for sexual exploitation of a child

A Nampa man was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of sexual exploitation of a child.

The Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children Unit arrested Charles Gonzales after obtaining a search warrant.

Gonzales is a longtime West Ada School District employee who worked with Sawtooth Middle School and Prospect and Hunter elementary schools.

The Idaho Press Tribune reports, Gonzales was booked into the Canyon County Jail Wednesday morning.

In a letter, the West Ada School District tells parents the allegations were not related to work and they were not aware of any issues with Gonzales during his time with the district.
