A Bingham County man is missing and presumed drowned after a boat capsized on the Snake River downstream from the North Bingham County Park near Shelley.

Authorities say two adult men fell into the river after their drift boat went over a diversion and flipped Wednesday afternoon.

The Idaho State Journal reports one of the men was able to get to shore, but the Bingham County Sheriffs office said the other man drowned.

A massive search effort has been underway to find the missing man, who’s name has not been released, but authorities say he did reside in Bingham County.
