UPDATED: Shooting Victim Faces Seven Felony Charges

Boise (670 KBOI) – The man who was shot during a shooting incident last week on the Boise Bench, now faces seven felony charges.

According to the Ada County prosecutors’ Office, David McGinnis was arraigned today on charges of grand theft (of a firearm), unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon (three counts), one count of possession of controlled substances with the intent to deliver, and one count each of heroin and cocaine possession.

He has a preliminary hearing in Ada County Court on December 19th.  His bond was set at $250,000.

The shooting took place at McGinnis’ home on Palouse Street.  Police are still looking for two suspects who were seen driving away in a silver, two-door sedan with a shot out, or otherwise damaged window.

A release from Boise Police says during the investigation, police got a search warrant, and while searching McGinnis’ bedroom, they found a stolen gun and drugs.

McGinnis was released from the hospital Monday, but was arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail..
