Caldwell (670 KBOI News) – A Nampa man could spend as much as 15 years in prison for two counts of felony sexual battery of a minor.
Canyon County Judge Glen Petty sentenced Kristopher Richins to three years fixed, and another 12 years indeterminate in prison for the attack, which happened last summer.
Canyon County Deputy Prosecutor Erica Kallin says Richins tried to have sex with two boys, brothers from a family with whom he was friends.
“He solicited sexual contact with one of them; that boy said no, got up and left. He (Richins) then injected the other boy with methamphetamine, gave him alcohol, and then sodomized that boy.”
He later admitted he knew the boy was underage.
In addition to the prison time, Richins will have to pay $5,000 in fines, along with court costs and public defender reimbursements. He’s also not allowed to have unsupervised contact with any minors, and will have to register as a sex offender.
