Nampa (670 KBOI News) – A 17-year old Columbia High School student is in jail after he allegedly stabbed a classmate this afternoon.

KBOI-2 TV is reporting it happened about 1:00, as classes were changing. The boy apparently stabbed a girl he had previously been in a relationship with…the attack was broken up by another student.

The 17 year-old girl was taken to the hospital with what are being called non-life threatening injuries.

The boy was booked into the Southwest Juvenile detention Center on a charge of attempted murder.

Nampa Police were already on campus for an unrelated event…they say there’s no further threat to the campus.
