A Nampa man received 30 years in prison on Tuesday.
Alfred Carpentier II was sentenced for felony crimes of lewd conduct with a child under 16, sexual abuse of a minor under 16 and possession of a controlled substance.
The Idaho Press Tribune reports, Carpentier was also ordered to register as a sex offender, submit a DNA sample to the Idaho database, and have no contact with the victim or victim’s immediate family and was ordered to pay a $5,000 civil penalty along with court costs.
Carpentier was arrested in October 2016 and charged with sexually abusing a 9-year-old girl. He was also caught in possession of methamphetamine and marijuana while he was out on pre-trial release.
