A 4-week-old baby was seriously injured earlier this week after being attacked by a dog inside a Kuna home.

A woman was loading items into a vehicle in her garage, and placed her baby in a swing in the living room.

According to KBOI 2 TV, she told detectives she checked on the boy between trips to the truck, but when she returned from her final trip, she saw the boy on the ground and visibly injured.

Three Dachshunds live in the home and it’s believed that one of them got up on the swing and attacked the baby, knocking him to the ground.

The boy is being treated at a local hospital. The woman claims that the dog did not have a history of aggression or biting.

No charges have been filed as of Wednesday.
