Darius Rucker Gets Emotional After South Carolina Reaches the Final Four

Former University of South Carolina student Darius Rucker has a new reason to cry, and it has nothing to do with the Dolphins.

South Carolina’s basketball team reached its first-ever Final Four with an upset win over Florida on Sunday (March 26) at Madison Square Garden. Darius was in the Garden for the game, and he got pretty emotional after the historic win.

Check out Sports Illustrated’s two clips of Darius below.

“I was saying to my [buddies]—I got some guys I went to college with and we were like, ‘Man, we’re in the Garden, watching the Gamecocks play to go to the Final Four.’ If you had told me that 10 years ago, I would’ve told you you were on on crack, you know?” said Darius. “And here we are. Being in the Garden for this made it even more special.”
