Watch Brandy Clark’s Fiery Lyric Video for “Love Can Go to Hell”

Brandy Clark is all fired up about the release of her new lyric video for “Love Can Go to Hell,” the second single from her critically acclaimed sophomore album, Big Day in a Small Town.

The video begins with images of love notes that reveal the words of the song, but it takes a quick turn once the chorus kicks in and the images of those notes are ripped up and set on fire.

“Love can go to hell  / In a broken heartbeat minute / That’s where I am without you in it / Every day is just another night by myself / Love can go to hell / Like roses in a vase of whiskey / Dying for the way you used to kiss me / Heaven knows I only wish you well / Oh, but love, yeah love  / Can go to hell,” Brandy sings in the chorus.

“Love Can Go to Hell” earned Brandy a Grammy nomination for Best Country Solo Performance at the 59th annual Grammy Awards. The “Girl Next Door” singer will be hitting the road with Charlie Worsham for An Evening with Brandy Clark & Charlie Worsham Tour that kicks off on April 6 in Charlottesville, Va.
