Garth Brooks & Trisha Yearwood Tease Duets of Johnny & June, Loretta & Conway, Tammy & George at 50th Annual CMA Awards Show

With more than 30 performances slated for the 50th annual CMA Awards Show on Nov. 2, artists are going to have to bring their A-games if they hope to make a splash like Chris Stapleton did last year. It sounds like Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood are ready to splash.

In October it was announced that Garth and wife Trisha, who he affectionately refers to as “The Queen,” will be performing together. NCD caught up with Garth yesterday (Oct. 31) to ask him about what he and the Queen had planned for the showcase.

“I’m performing with the Queen, so know that we’ll be paying tribute to the greatest duets ever, so you’ll probably hear a little Johnny [Cash] and June [Carter Cash], a little Loretta [Lynn] and Conway [Twitty], and, for sure, if you’re going to do duets, you gotta hear [Tammy] Wynette and [George] Jones,” said Garth.

In addition to Garth and Trisha’s duets medley, tune in to the 50th annual CMA Awards on Nov. 2 to see performances from Alabama, Jason Aldean, Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley, Clint Black, Brooks & Dunn, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Roy Clark, Charlie Daniels, Randy Travis, Florida Georgia Line, Vince Gill, Alan Jackson, Elle King, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Martina McBride, Tim McGraw, Maren Morris, Kacey Musgraves, Jennifer Nettles, Brad Paisley, Pentatonix, Charley Pride, Thomas Rhett, Reba McEntire, Ricky Skaggs, George Strait, Chris Stapleton, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban and Dwight Yoakam.
